Every game featuring a mouse I know of

Disclamer : Inclusion on the list doesn't imply endorsement, I put every game on this list that:
1 I know of.
2 have a mouse or rat protagonist or any sort of major focus on mice
3 can realistically be played by anyone (NO ROMS!)

Mina the Hollower
https://store.steampowered.com/app/....._the_Hollower/
The only game on the list you cannot play, but folks are eagerly awaiting for it. It is a top-down adventure game zeldalike with castlevania elements like very basic platformer and the general vibe, castlevania was the first thing I thought of when I thought of this game and it even fooled me into thinking it was a metroidvania.

If you need a review to know if youd like it and buy it when it comes out, vinesauce has livestreamed it. Other than vinesauce, there are many videos showcasing the gameplay on youtube.

Pipsqueak
https://store.steampowered.com/app/.....550/Pipsqueak/ & https://pondgames.itch.io/pipsqueak-demo
A new game coming out from a Kickstarter fundraiser. Unfortunately it's too late to donate, but I'm sure the devs like your support. It is a metroidvania with permanent upgrade, heavy story focus and many foes to battle.

Review : From the demo, a fun Metroidvania that lasted well over an hour. You fight enemies, bosses and there are platforming challenges. You know the drill if you play Hollow Knight. The gameplay feels good too.

A shard of mine/Luna's Heart
https://roberto-romao.itch.io/a-shard-of-mine / https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/712390
A short and free rpg with an anthro mouse protagonist and crafting mechanics, has horror elements and a grisly soundtrack. It is not on steam, but you can find it on itch.io and related platforms. Luna's heart is its prequel or prototype apparently.

Review : The game could use some balance patches, only 1 class in the whole game matters and it's the starting class with which you can heal. The game was fun in a sort of exploration and discovery kind of way, but the battles are boring.

MOUSE
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2416450/Mouse/ / https://linktr.ee/fumigames
Ok I lied, but I promise it's the last one this time. This game can't be played either, but has a release date of 2025. From the gameplay demonstrations it's easy to guess this game will be a DOOM or Wolfenstein clone. There will be references to past cartoons like Popeye and common cartoon tropes. The game will have half-life environmental puzzle elements in it like the falling piano in the trailers.

Small saga
https://smallsaga.com/
A cute pixel-artsy jrpg with small rodents. You play as a mouse and must save Rodentia. The bosses you battle are large predators like a house cat or more strangely a live octopus! The game plays exactly like you'd expect, it's a turn per turn rpg, nothing fancy like undertale.

⚠️🛑Buyer beware⚠️🛑
Not accessible/disabled-friendly. Unbeatable for some folks with specific handicaps. Based on a highly voted negative review, there is a time-based fight near the end that they can't beat, so they can't beat the game.

Project Shoreline
https://speldosainteractive.itch.io.....ject-shoreline
You play as a mutant aquatic mouse in this cozy 3D platformer. The game is similar in spirit to super Mario Sunshine.

Review : A very calming, chill and casual game with nothing to bother me and with cute critters in it. I love thew hedgehogs as much as I love the mouse protagonist. A definite recommendation from me, one of my favorite games on the list so far. The only downside is it was a tad bit laggy for me, but most of the time it ran fine.

Backpack Hero
https://thejaspel.itch.io/backpack-hero & https://www.gog.com/game/backpack_hero
A rpg roguelite with resident evil inventory management and quote-on-quote "deckbuilding". You are preparing your inventory to better deal with future bosses who become harder as you go deeper into the dungeon.

⚠️🛑Buyer beware⚠️🛑
☣️☢️TW: Heavy drama material ahead!☣️☢️
Despite the score, the game has a large number of folks complaining over its bugs. Some are gamebreaking and others corrupt your save files according to many complaints on the steam forums alone. To this day the forum still has at least 1 post complaining about the game on the fist page and most newsposts has at least 1 player shitting on the game. This is so bad that at its peak the game had only aggressively negative comments if not rude. Most surprising is the score, before doing more research I assumed it was a loud minority, but some players actually gave the game "pity recommendations". Basically listing only negatives, but saying they still supported the game.

Review : For the record I'm on unix with wine as the windows compatibility layer hooked to steam if a game ain't available for my os. I don't know if it matters all that much, but when I tried playing the game for the first time I got a blackscreen. It is the only game made with unity that did this to me. I could have probably fixed the problem and actually play the game, but after seeing some comments about the game I just refunded the game while I still could. I didn't get to play, so I won't comment on the game

Micetopia
https://store.steampowered.com/app/.....150/Micetopia/
A metroidvania... that's it; I don't know what else to add.

⚠️🛑Buyer beware⚠️🛑
I know I'm gonna point out the obvious, but the game currently stands with a 'mostly negative' rating on steam, 23% of the 17 reviews recommended the game. The pool is extremely small, but I reckon you buy the game at your own risk if you are interested.

Review : No chance

Curse of the Sea Rats
https://store.steampowered.com/app/....._the_Sea_Rats/
A metroidvania, the third on this list. You fight enemies, you fight bosses, it is fast-paced and speed-oriented. It has a heavy focus on storytelling especially the premise, you and your crew was TF'd into big rats by a pirate witch.

⚠️🛑Buyer beware⚠️🛑
Ooh boy that's a lot of "buyer beware"s. It gets it for the same reason as the other game. On steam it has a 'mixed' rating with 57% of the 70 reviews recommending it.

Rat Game: Roaming of the Wretched Rat
https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/789353
A collaborative game made by many artists on the derelict flash site newgrounds, yes it still exists! It is a rpg where you fight an enemy after another consecutively and get an item from the chests spawning afterward. There is no shop and completly up to rng.

Review : Repetitive, arcadey, but a good time waster imo if you got nothing better to do and don't have a better game to play on hand.

Country Mouse and City Mouse
https://mykio.itch.io/country-mouse-and-city-mouse
A free and adorable visual novel telling the story of 2 mice. Based on a story in Aesop's Fables.

Review : Not available

RATUZ
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1550840/RATUZ/
This one tip toes the line and I considered excluding it from the list. You play as a human and the premise is you get chased after by a mutated human rat monster while completing puzzles. It's like clocktower in some ways.

Review : I played the demo for 5 minutes, but got bored due to the pace it was moving at and uninstalled it. The game took somewhat long to load a room (between 1 to 2 seconds each), it wasn't as bad as Sonic 06, but it was noticeable. I dunno if it's supposed to happen or not.
